Children of Time
A techno fairy-tale rather than plausible science fiction, with flat characters and repetitive tropes. The narration is excellent.

Star Wars, The High Republic: Temptation of the Force
Starts promisingly, then turns into melodrama and glam-rock aesthetics. High Republic, low expectations.

After Work: A History of the Home and the Fight for Free Time
Sold as a vision for a post-work future, but opens with a sermon on workplace oppression. I bailed early.
