Background
I’ve spent nearly two decades in software development, including over ten years building mobile applications - from established institutions such as Lloyds Banking Group, Harrods, and Heathrow Airport to fast-paced startups.
My most recent contract ended early in 2026, so I spent the summer working full time on my own apps, alongside a masters degree I am still catching up on. While I carry on building those apps, I am open to new roles, contract or permanent, hybrid or remote, around London.
Core Focus
App Engineering
Maintaining and modernising iOS codebases - introducing SwiftUI, Core ML and accessibility improvements without disrupting what already works. iOS is my mainstay, and I support Android where needed, particularly around syncing, payments and mapping.
On-device AI
Core ML and Apple’s Foundation Models: image classification that runs entirely on the phone, and text generation on iPhone and Apple Watch. I write about both on this blog.
DevOps & CI/CD
Xcode Cloud, GitHub Actions, Gitea and self-hosted pipelines, to keep builds predictable and clean.
ESP32 & Side Projects
ESP32 boards and a bit of game development - usually involving spatial audio, animated dialogue, cats, spaceships and playful experimental UI.
